Latest Updated:06/20/2013

Question:

I need more information on the protection of on-chip flash memory.

Answer:

There is a protect function for preventing readout/writing/erasing of the on-chip flash memory.
In order to perform readout/writing/erasing, the following registers need to be set correctly.

- FENTRYR.FENTRYD bit
- DFLWEy register
- DFLREy register

For information on the protect function that prevents third-party access to the on-chip flash memory, please refer to the application note "RX Family/RX600 Series Forbidding Third-Party Access to the On-chip Flash Memory".
