Output Port Setting Using 12-bit A/D Converter Inputs

Last Updated:06/08/2017

Question:

For input terminals within a 12-bit A/D converter, is it possible to use terminals not used for A/D conversions as a general output port or other peripheral functions?

Answer:

Only port E can be used as an output for a general port or other peripheral functions. When using it as a peripheral function, set the ASEL bit of PEnPFS(n=0~7) register to "0" (used for other than analog terminals ).
Port 4 and port 9 cannot be used for a general output port or other peripheral functions.  Also, see the user’s manual for each device, as available terminals may differ depending on devices.
