What happen if I use USB to RS-232C to equip my PC?

Latest Updated:10/29/2009

Question:

My PC doesn't equip RS-232C. What happen if I use USB to RS-232C converter?

Answer:

Differ from PC equips RS-232C, USB to RS-232C converter makes it move port via USB, so It might not go well timing synchronizing between FTD and User-System because of timing delay of communication controller. For that reason, we recommend that you should use PC equips RS-232C or use E8a emulator ([R0E00008AKCE00]) can connect to PC via USB. Please check the Flash Development Toolkit target device list, if you would like to refer MCU which has capability of writing with E8a emulator.
