Is the drive on output pins that require specific levels for a standard (like QSPI) automatically created for me when I add the module?

Latest Updated:10/04/2016

Question:

Is the drive on an output pin automatically configured correctly for the standard the pin is being used with? For example, on QSPI is the output drive set correctly when I add the module in SSP?

Answer:

From SSP v1.1.0-alpha.1 onwards, all Synergy project templates in e2 studio enable the QSPI pins (and other pins) with the required drive strength (per MCU User Manual) via the associated *.pincfg file. What we CAN'T do at this point is assign this drive strength automatically when a peripheral is first enabled by the user in a blank *.pincfg (or if it is disabled an then re-enabled). This is a limitation in the pin configurator plug-in and there is no current plan to correct this.
