What to do to eliminate the error when trying to define data flash?

Latest Updated:12/01/2014

Question:

I am using the CA78K0R compiler for RL78 and 78K0R products. Attempting to define the data flash area leads to an error.
What do I need to do to eliminate the error?

Answer:

Are you using the free evaluation version of the compiler?
The free evaluation version only works with up to 64 K of internal ROM (the address range from 0H to 0FFFFH at most) and the internal RAM area.
Accordingly, the data flash area cannot be used.
If you have purchased the compiler, check that the license key has been registered with the license manager.
You can start up the license manager from the start menu of Windows.
