Is a hexadecimal data file require an offset when working with an EPROM?

Latest Updated:09/15/2006

Question:

Does a hexadecimal data file require an offset as when working with an EPROM?

Answer:

Hexadecimal data files processed with MM use the real address of the microcomputer to be masked.
When masking with older EPROMs, it was necessary to assign an offset to the address in accordance with the EPROM product.
This is not necessary with MM.
