When will it be written to memory if I download program using E10A-USB?

Latest Updated:07/20/2007

Question:

When I download a program with the E10A-USB emulator, when will it be written to the memory?

Answer:

This differs according to the target memory.

  • RAM (internal, external)
The program is written directly to RAM during of the program download process.
  • Internal Flash Memory
The program is stored in the emulator when it is downloaded; a write event is not generated at this time. After download is complete, the program is written to the Flash memory as part of the program execution process (by pressing the Go, STEP, etc. buttons), just before the program is run.
  • External Flash Memory
The program is written directly to the external Flash memory during the program download process.
