E0520029 message(CC-RL)

Last Updated:06/07/2017

Question:

I am using RL78 Compiler CC-RL. How do I resolve the “E0520029: Expected an expression.” error?

Answer:

The error message appears when an expression is not specified in the proper place. If you are using macro replacement, check whether an expression has been written in the proper place and the macro has been defined correctly.

#define VAL_00000001   /* Replacement element is not defined. */

unsigned long data;

void func(void)

{

    data=VAL_00000001;  /* The macro replacement results in ”data=;” and then becomes an error */
